Desktop PCs could be locked to the desk and locked in the building after working hours, and generally only employees had physical access to them. On the other hand, Notebooks were much more vulnerable to theft or other breaches. Thus, our solution to many commercial notebooks (and some desktops) consisting of come with additional embedded hardware including BeyondLSI fingerprint authentication chip Fchip2 and Optical swipe sensor. The solution has superiority to conventional solutions with regards to cheap cost and physical strength of sensor. It provides the basic authentication function of users to PC or Network system, including the following applications as
· Secure Login in BIOS/OS level to PC
· Secure Login to Network Server
· Single Sign-ON
These systems also have PC software, such as BeyondLSI PC Security, that allows the user to set up and use the system for authentication (matching a user to a machine at log-on), password management, and data and file encryption. |
